Continuing its practice of producing salubrious resources for the scientific community, the Public Library of Science has launched another new peer reviewed, open access journal focussing on genetics-genomics and broadly related topics in biology. With an inaugural issue planned for July 2005, the editors are now calling for papers. A rigorous peer review process has been formulated for the new journal, and research publication criteria mandates research that is original, includes 'substantial evidence for its conclusions' and is of 'high importance to researchers in the field'.
