The San Francisco based Public Library of Science, in conjunction with The International Society for Computational Biology has launched another new peer reviewed, open access journal focussing on the contribution of computational methods to the biological sciences. With an inaugural issue planned for June 2005, the editors are now calling for papers. A rigorous peer review process has been formulated for the new journal, and research publication criteria mandates research that is original, includes 'substantial evidence for its conclusions' and is of 'high importance to researchers in computational biology'.
