“The motivation of my work is sustainable improvement in the global human condition and how to influence change so as to achieve it,” Hughes explains.

His creation, International Futures (IFs), shows the relationships between global issues such as demographics, ecology, energy, and agricultural, socio-political and environmental concerns for 184 countries. IFs is one of the largest long-term, multiple-issue computer programs in the world.
