Avida, a biologically unrealistic model for neo-Darwinian Theory

Abstract: Avida is a computer program designed to simulate how neo-Darwinian evolution could develop novel cellular networks. However, examination of the model assumptions and parameter values raises severe questions as to its relevance to biological organisms.
