The Utility of IC http://www.iscid.org/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=6&t=000017 by Mike Gene
Mike Gene's thread exceeded our first month expectations in every way. He made several hypotheses and focused on the scientific data. Mike set out to explain how IC might be used to guide research into complex molecular machines. He gave us several concrete examples of how this might be done and engaged his critics with thoughtfulness and humility. Congratulations Mike and keep up the great work.
If you'd like to receive your $100 prize, please send an email to iscid@iscid.org. You can choose to either receive the prize yourself (in which case we'll need your address), donate it to an organization, or pass on it altogether. [ 01 April 2002, 12:05: Message edited by: Moderator ]

Dear Moderator,
Mike's thread was indeed very interesting and provides an excellent example for upcoming contenders for topic of the month.
I suggest that ISCID encourage future winners to write up a summary article on their topic that details their position and how it might have changed or been refined by the posted replies of ISCID members. This would help some of us who can't always track the topics on a post-by-post basis as well as summarize important Brainstorm topics for the press and other organizations.

If Mike Gene doesn't claim the prize, can I have it? Just kidding. [ 01 April 2002, 20:25: Message edited by: Nelson Alonso ]
