Hi, I haven't had much time this summer to be involved in many discussions but I'd like to add
my two cents to this one. Jonathan Wells wrote an essay entitled "Making Sense of Biology: The Evidence for Development by Design," in which he took on the view that DNA alone controls development and cited other factors as well, such as the cytoskeleton and membrane.
I would suggest reading his article (found in "Signs of Intelligence"), for an IDer's perspective, especially since this is his area of expertise.
