It has come to my attention that some readers and participants at Brainstorms are under the impression that:
quote:
All thread-initiating posts must make a positive contribution to the ID movement.
I just want to clarify. All threads-initiating posts must make a positive argument regarding complex systems. The argument need not be in defense of intelligent design. What we do not want is a thread where the only focus is in critiquing other arguments.
I can not emphasize this enough. Brainstorms IS NOT an intelligent design discussion board. Rather, I want to encourage "brainstorming" about research problems in complex systems. Whether this brainstorming is from a darwinian perspective, self-organization perspective, intelligent design perspective, or whatever, doesn't matter. As long as it is informed and insightful while making a positive argument and refraining from negative attacks, I will gladly allow the thread to continue unmoderated.
Finally, please note that while the thread initiating post must make a positive argument, critiques of other perspectives might be necessary in doing so. This type of critique is perfectly legitamate in my eyes, though only if in support of a broader positive argument.
