Seeing that Artificial Intelligence is a relevant topic at Brainstorms, I thought I'd announce that the hosts of Brainstorms, ISCID, are holding an online reading group regarding the Strong AI position of Raymond Kurzweil. The reading group will be focusing on the new book "Are We Spiritual Machines?".

I think Are We Spiritual Machines? may be back-ordered at amazon.com. I ordered mine a few days ago and it hasn't been shipped yet. So for those that want a hard copy of the book for the reading group, and plan on getting it from amazon, you should order it right away!
