How can the darwinian (phyletic gradualism) and neodarwinian (punctuated equilibrium) evolutionary trees be a correct representation of how life evolved if the fossil record shows that it began as phyla?

Chapter 8 'The Fossil Record' in Michael Denton's "Evolution: A Theory in Crisis" 1985.
Chapter 4 'The Fossil Record' in Percival Davis' and Dean H. Kenyon's "Of Pandas and People: The Central Question of Biological Origins" 1989.
Chapter 1 'Darwin's Tree of Life' in Jonathan Wells' "Icons of Evolution: Science or Myth?" 2000

*sigh*

1. Neodarwinism pre-dated punctuated equilibria and is not synonymous with that theory.

2. Nothing begins as a phylum, and anyone who claims that any lineage began as a phylum is an ignoramus.

You need to go read about what a phylum is and how classification works. As it is, your questions make no sense at all.

Scott,

I stand by my question which is perfectly logical and justified by the evidence provided. Neither darwinism nor neodarwinism can be reconciled with the fossil record of the Cambrian explosion.

Disprove the evidence, the rest are irrelevant words.
