I think you may want to study cell biology more rigorously. The study I linked to found that almost the entire genome is transcribed (that is "used") by the cell -- with RNA molecules being the main product. They don't know what these RNA molecules do, but I'm sure (another prediction) that they'll be found to be essential.

So DNA is more than just a "protein library" -- it is a working blueprint for the production of all of life's machinery!

Actually, I have to look into cell biology again, because I plan to introduce the hypothesis that “pretends” to explain cell differentiation mechanism and emergence of two sexes. This is a 20 years old hypothesis, so I have to check if the arguments I presented are still valid in light of latest achievements in field of cell biology.
I plan to submit this hypothesis at the end of the January next year, because until then all my time will be consumed with job related activities.

INTELLIGENT CAUSATION AND THE IRAQ SURGE
The current debate over the surge plan in Iraq provides an interesting and timely illustration of the scientific analysis of goal directed intelligent causation.

Based on personal conversations with people involved in military planning, it is my understanding that the military has created a scientifically rigorous methodology for planning and evaluating military engagements. This methodology consists of 1) clearly define the goals and objectives of a proposed engagement, 2) developed a detailed intelligently designed plan for achieving the goal including a sufficient margin for unexpected events, 3) define methods of measuring step by step progress toward achieving the goal and 4) monitor progress as plan is implemented and make modifications and refinements to the plan as required. I don’t suppose the details of this methodology are available from a Google search, but it should not be difficult to find evidence that such a methodology exists or that the methodology is quite effective and reliable when actually followed.

The weakness with the military’s scientific approach to intelligently designing purposeful engagement strategies is that it has no effective method of preventing or overruling political actions by individuals who are scientifically and militarily incompetent. As the Iraq invasion clearly illustrates, the military planning methodology has no methodology for preventing political and military leaders from beginning a military adventure without having a workable plan for achieving goals.

As the current situation clearly illustrates, the military methodology also lacks procedures that would prevent military and political leaders from intentionally misrepresenting the existence of an intelligent achievable plan and from intentionally misrepresenting the progress that is being made to achieve the plan. As illustrated by the Iraqi war, failure to identify and exclude scientific and military incompetents from the analysis processes, corrupts and destroys the effectiveness of scientific analysis.
