Bioterrorism

Bioterrorism is a type of terrorism that employs the use of biological agents to achieve its goals. Germ warfare is one kind of bioterrorism. As a type of terrorism, bioterrorism is used to achieve political or social change by causing fear. Using biological agents in warfare and criminal activity has come of age and is a real and active force in our social and political environment. Evidence of this fact can be seen in the drafting of 'The Bioterrorism Act of 2002,' written by Congress and signed into law by President George W. Bush on June 12, 2002.

Intelligent Design research applications and questions

-Discover patterns of outbreak which could help determine whether an infection was natural or planned

-Discover methods of detecting whether an infectious agent occurred naturally or by biological engineering

-Is there any way to tell the difference between a natural outbreak spread as opposed to a planned attack?

-How are biological agents engineered?

-How are weapons employing biological agents engineered?

-How are biological agents weaponized?
