Hadron

Hadrons are the particles of matter that interact by the strong nuclear force, and are composed of fermions, quarks and gluons. Hadrons are classified as baryons and mesons. Hadrons have quantum numbers corresponding to the representations of the Poincare group, which includes P and C parity, spin and mass.

All hadrons are single particle excitations (interactions) described by the strong interaction theory quantum chromodynamics, formulated by the late Richard Feynman. Below the QCD scale, hadrons are subject to confinement, carrying no color charge and not describable as quarks and gluons.
