ISCID Encyclopedia Writers |
| Graduate students rarely have the opportunity to make extra income doing work that is related to their field of expertise. We are aiming to change that. ISCID is currently searching for graduate students whose research areas include biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, engineering, philosophy or any sub-discipline. Grad students will be asked to write a set of 1000 word encyclopedia articles on topics for which they've done active graduate research. We will pay $100 for the first article submitted and accepted. We will pay $500 for each additional set of 5 articles (beyond the first article, articles must be submitted in sets). Our program is a great opportunity for graduate students to earn extra income while, at the same time, using their research knowledge. Considered as a job, there are many benefits including the fact that you work your own hours, set your own deadlines, and never leave your own home. In addition to the benefits that our program provides for graduate students, ISCID will benefit from the acquisition of fresh, up to date knowledge for our Encyclopedia. Program Details Graduate students must be doing active research in a field that is relevant to the ISCID Encyclopedia of Science and Philosophy. Relevance will be decided by the Encyclopedia editor, and all decisions are final. After the first submission, graduate students will be hired for five article batches and will not be paid until all five articles have been submitted. Acceptance into the program requires initial approval of a 1000 word sample article for which the student will be paid pending usage in the encyclopedia. Articles will not be used in the Encyclopedia unless they are accepted and students are compensated. Students choose whether to receive public credit for their article or remain anonymous. Upon payment, all rights to the article become transferred to ISCID.
