Student Internship |
| ISCID is currently seeking a student intern for the summer of 2003. The internship requires at least two years of a college level education and an interest in furthering ISCID's stated goal of developing a strong international community of scientists, engineers and philosophers who pursue their work apart from external programmatic constraints like materialism, or reductionism. We are looking for an intern who is creative and self-initiating. One of your responsibilities with the intership will be to develop and implement strategies for spreading the word about ISCID and its events. Example strategies involve online bulletin board participation, email newsletters, surveys, search engine optimization and even direct mailings. You will be given complete creative freedom to acheive a certain set of specified goals. Other internship responsibilities will be designed around your particular interests. If you have an academic interest in biology, engineering, computer science, philosophy, physics, chemistry or other related disciplines, one option is to do your own research on a topic of your choosing and develop content for our online Encyclopedia. That is just one option. It will be your chance to do exactly what you want - to help you improve your skills. We understand that most internships end up being duds, where you sit in front of a desk all day doing nothing. With the ISCID student internship, we promise to create a work environment that allows you to optimize the time you spend doing the things you are passionate about. The work you will do with ISCID will be chosen with you in mind. Perks:
